first batch was started in
October 2001. It was housed
in a custom built campus
along with other components
of Baqai Education City. The
institute has now moved in

COMPUTERS LAB
These
labs are playing a key role
in imparting practical
training to students in
Software Engineering and
Bioinformatics.
BIIT
servers provide essential
network services such as
internet, emailing,
printing, data storage, FTP
facility, web server,
customized online
applications etc.
These
labs serve the entire
faculty, staff members and
the students for resolving
their problems relating to
computing resources. For
research and development,
faculty and staff members
are equipped with the latest
computing facilities in
their field of
specialization that also
help the students in their
quest for specialized
education.
GIRLS
COMMON ROOM (GCR)
GCR is
available for the ease of
girls where they can sit in
their leisure time and can
pray separately.
BOYS
COMMON ROOM (BCR)
BCR is
available for the boys where
they can take part in
different extracurricular
in-room activities like
table tennis & etc.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
BIIT Support Team has
developed a state of art
campus wide network
comprising Optical Fiber and
CAT 6 Structured
Cabling, connecting about
150 stations for
facilitating faculty &
students. Internet and
Digital Library is also
available to all computers
on the network.
CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM

BIIT holds Career
Counseling Seminars very
often open for all the
students which can be
helpful in choosing their
path of career.

In 2010 BIIT has arranged
two (2) Workshops to
enhance the computational
skills of faculty. Focus
was made on basic and
advance level of teachings
in MS-Office where Power
Point Presentation skills
were very much improved.

BIIT has been approved to
conduct Certification
Course for Applied
Bioinformatics for all the
graduates with basic
sciences background.

BIIT is also planning to
conduct Introductory
Symposium cum Workshop on
Clinical Search Market.
DIGITAL LIBRARY
Digital Library is being
developed and maintained by
BIIT Software Team that is
successful in providing
(online) delivery, providing
access to high quality,
peer-reviewed journals,
databases, articles and
e-Books across a wide range
of disciplines. The e-books
support program will allow
faculty, students &
researchers to access most
of the important text and
reference books
electronically in a variety
of subject areas.
