Application Form 

Admissions to the Baqai Medical University are purely done on merit basis. There is no quota system or seats against any donations. Candidates from any where in Pakistan and abroad are eligible to apply if they fulfill the basic requirements of Admissions as per University rules.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

1. The University Management does not recommend/patronize any Coaching Centre and   has no link with such institutions.
    

2. The University does not have any other office or person to deal with admissions. All correspondence regarding admissions must be done through Admission Cell, BMU.
    

3. Fee should be paid through a bank draft or pay order in favour of “Baqai Medial University” drawn on a bank in Karachi and a proper receipt must be obtained from the department, which must be shown to the management when required.

Eligibility  

M.B.B.S & B.D.S : F.SC, (Pre Medical) / 'A' Levels / Grade 12 American School or Equivalent Qualifications with at least 60% marks passed in 2008. 

Pharm .D (Doctor of Pharmacy) F.SC. (Pre Medical)/'A' Levels / Grade 12 American School or Equivalent Qualifications with at least 55% marks.   

Admission Cell 

The University has established a permanent Admission Cell under the patronage of the Director Prof. Dr. Mrs. Zahida Baqai, who is responsible for all matters pertaining to admissions e.g. admission test, interviews and selection of candidates. 

Medical Examination

Selected applicants must pass a physical and mental examination performed at Fatima Hospital, Baqai Medical University before being registered in their respective courses.

Foreign and Overseas Pakistani Students

Admissions on Overseas Pakistani and Foreign Seats are open up to October. There is no Admission Test for such seats and admissions are done on the basis of academic records and interview by the interview committee. 

Application Form, Prospectus & Submission of Applications

For Local Merit Seats

Application form and prospectus can be obtained by paying a non refundable fee of Rs.1500/- cash in person from the Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi or through registered mail by sending a request along with a bank draft of Rs.2100/- in favor of " Baqai Medical University" drawn on a bank in Karachi.

Submission of Applications

Duly filled Applications with all required documents (attested photocopies) should be submitted in person to the Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi or through registered mail as per schedule above. Processing Fees Rs. 500/- on submission of form.

Downloadable Application form

Application forms can also be downloaded and will submitted along with all required documents in person to Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi with a non refundable submission fee of Rs.2000/- or through registered mail to the Director Admissions, Admissions Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Raod, Karachi with a Bank Draft of Rs.2100/- in favor of "Baqai Medical University" drawn on a bank in Karachi.

Applications through registered mail or courier service must reach the Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University by 14^thJuly 2008. Application received after the last date must be submitted along with late fee.

Admit Card for entrance test will be issued on receiving application form in person or will be posted through registered mail if application is received through postal mail.

Applications received through registered mail or courier service without fee as described above will not be processed.

For Overseas Pakistani and Foreign Seats

Application form and prospectus can be obtained by paying a non refundable fee of US$ 150/- cash in person from the Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi or through registered mail by sending a request along with a bank draft of US$150/- in favor of " Baqai Medical University" drawn on a bank in Karachi.

Duly filled Applications with all required documents (attested photocopies) should be submitted in person to the Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi or through registered mail to the Director Admissions, Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi.

Application form is also available on our web site. Printed and duly filled application form along with all required documents can be submitted in person to Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi with a non refundable fee of
US$ 150/- or through registered mail to the Director Admissions, Admissions Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Raod, Karachi with a Bank Draft of US$ 150/- in favour of "Baqai Medical University" drawn on a bank in Karachi.

Overseas Pakistani and Foreign students will be called for an interview with parents after the submission of applications.

Applications received through registered mail or courier service without fee as described above will not be processed.

Instructions

1.  Study carefully the university prospectus and instructions before filling the application form.
    
2. Minimum qualification for application is intermediate science (Pre Medical Group) with 60% and above marks. Only those candidates can apply who have passed there examination in the current year form any Board Intermediate and Higher Secondary Education/ A level / Grade 12 American School with pre medical subjects or equivalent examination recognized by the University. All those candidates who have studied other than Pakistani Educational Systems have to submit an equivalence certificate to be obtained from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) and qualifications must be equivalent to intermediate Science (pre medical group) with at least 60% marks.
    
3. Please Print or Type in capital letters.
    
4. The application should include :
    

           a) Attested copies of the following documents:

               i) Matric Mark Sheet / Certificate.

               ii) Metric Provisional Certificate.

               iii) Higher Secondary School Mark Sheet / Certificate.

               iv) Higher Secondary School / College Provisional Certificate.

                v) Mark Sheet of First Year & Second Year OR Cutting of Result

               vi) Equivalence Certificate from IBCC of 'A' & 'O' levels/Grade 12/other equivalent examinations   in case of other than Pakistani Education Boards.

               vii) Extra Curricular activities certificates if any

               viii) Admit card of FSc part II.

           b) Three recent passport size photographs with name and father name of candidate at the back on photograph should be pasted on the space provided in the application form.

5. The application form with all its enclosures may be submitted by hand to the Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on working days or through registered mail to Director Admissions,   Admission Cell, Baqai Medical University, Super Highway, Gadap Road, Karachi. Applications sent through mail/courier must include pay order/bank draft of Rs.100/- favoring "Baqai Medical University".

Incomplete applications will not be processed.
